Popping out…

19 weeks, going into the 20th and my belly just popped out. I mean not really all of a sudden popped out, but it is starting to look more like a pregnant belly rather than a fat belly. No, the baby did not kick yet – everybody keeps asking me that, but my energy levels are higher than ever. Because of the lovely round belly that I am sporting there days, I worked-up the courage to wear something skin tight yesterday and I felt great. I have to admit that the fact that D keeps telling me how lovely my new curves (fat) are, does help a lot, so there you have it, all you future dads, that’s the best free advice ever.

Obviously two days ago we did not manage to find the dry time to take some photos but we did manage to do it yesterday and we made a few gifs as well. I confess that it started to rain a bit when we got to the park, but I really wanted to take these shots in this dress as I felt lovely in it. I really hope that we will have the time and energy to take as many photos of this period as it is said that this is the best time of the pregnancy. With this being the best time of the pregnancy, all we do is take advantage of the high mobility and energy levels to look for baby stuff.

On me:

Dress – Bershka; Shoes – Converse; Bag – Michael Kors; Bling – Tomorrowland and Pandora; Watch – Tissot

Back to yesterday’s outfits… I wore this lovely skin tight dress from Bershka and I am honestly considering buying a few similar models for autumn/winter as well as I have a feeling that this is going to be my uniform until the last trimester. It just feels very, very comfortable and I love that fact that there is nothing pressing my belly. I do not even want to think about pants during this period, and as I said, I want to postpone the maternity clothes as much as possible, or at least until I really have to go a size up. I feel that all the clothes that I bought this summer will still be perfect for me for many years to come after the pregnancy as they are my normal size and have the cut that I love most. I paired the dress with my ZARA vest and, as a matter of fact, the vest was the one that gave me the confidence to leave the house in this skin tight outfit. I have a feeling that the next few months are going to be all about layering for me.

On D:

T-shirt – H&M; Shorts – Mango; Shoes – Converse x John Varvatos; Bling – Fossil; Watch – Casio Red Bull Edifice

As you’ve noticed, the colour of choice was grey because a)we haven’t done a grey photoshoot in a while and b)I already had the grey dress from last year (yes, it does look better on a flat tummy, but I was surprised I could still get into it). We both chose to wear Converse shoes, even though they were different – I wore the new grey knit with a very comfortable sole, while D wore his very trendy Converse x John Varvatos sneaks. I also accessorised the outfit with my white bag from Michael Kors and the fact that it’s still the same white bag is a clear indication that I haven’t found a better one.

D wore his Mango man light blue shorts, because, surprisingly he doesn’t have a grey or black pair – we need to address that issue right away – and paired it with a print grey t-shirt form H&M that he bought last year. Accessories-wise we both kept it to a minimum, he only wore his Fossil bracelet, while I proudly wore my watch-ring that I got from the diamond museum in Amsterdam 4 or 5 years ago, naturally alongside my Tomorrowland and Pandora rings. We decided to not match out watches so I went for my white Tissot T-Race while D wore his Casio Edifice Red Bull Racing Edition. That is about it for the outfits.

I really do hope we will have time today to have another good photoshoot and to be honest I hope the weather will cooperate as it has been rather hectic these days, going from 20 degrees to 30 degrees in a matter of hours.

AHOY!!!

It seems that these fashion posts appear more often lately, but that’s only because we both love dressing up nicely during the warmer months. Wait until the bad weather comes and you’ll see more and more posts from other categories as my uniform in the winter is composed strictly out of skinnies and Uggs. I consider those the boring months. For some reason I can’t seem to find any inspiration during the nasty winter months. Well, we’ll just take it one season at a time.

No matter what we do, we always seem to be coming back to the oh-so-neutral navy and white striped combo. I guess it’s because both of us love going to the seaside so much and until now, we haven’t had the chance to wet our toes into the chilly Black Sea. We did however made the decision to not let July pass without at least one visit to the seaside. The tricky part about July is that it’s quite full with all sorts of stuff (Euro 2016 final – we’re off to Paris), just as crazy as June turns out to be (more details about out travel itinerary next week). What better way to bring the seaside to Bucharest if not by wearing stripes? D went all the way and wore both his boat shoes and his anchor pattern shorts. Unfortunately, I couldn’t convince him to wear red harts as an accent to fully match my outfit, but I think he did a pretty good job despite that.

Since the main theme was us missing the seaside, I decided to wear this lovely but oh so short dress from H&M that I got last year. I love everything about this dress, starting with the 3/4 sleeves and finishing with the fact that it has pockets. I just love everything with pockets and finding dresses that have pockets is really, really hard. Since I didn’t want to repeat the Christian Louboutin navy shoes I wore here, I opted for my Melissa x Vivienne Westwood Dragon Lady white shoes with a big red heart on top. I remember a few years ago (four, I think), these shoes were so popular and so hard to find-well, at least in Romania- but nowadays all the fashionistas seem to have forgotten about them and it’s a pity as these shoes are both fun and very comfortable. True, fashion trends come and go, but in my book, these shoes are forever trendy. I am biased because I do admit to having them in three more colours, so you’ll probably see more and more of them.

On me:

Dress – H&M; Shoes – Melissa x Vivienne Westwood; Bag – Furla; Bling – Pandora, Tomorrowland and Constantin Nautics; Watch – Daniel Wellington

What better bag to match my navy style than the one I bought on the way to London (literally on the plane) from Furla? This bag turns out to be a way better investment that I expected, even D is amazed how many things it matches. This only goes to prove that women are always right when it comes to investing in fashion and men should always listen to them! Bling wise, I think you’ve noticed by now that I am a very loyal person and only add a maximum of two pieces to my usual stuff. For today’s fashion post, I decided to add to my usual jewellery a bracelet from Constantin Nautics that perfectly matched my navy, white and red accents.

On D:

Shorts – H&M; T-shirt – Jack&Jones; Shoes – Tommy Hilfiger; Bling – Fossil and Constantin Nautics; Watch – Daniel Wellington

D always seems to get excited whenever there’s a navy theme and I think that’s maybe because he does have a lot of stuff to match that. This outfit is not really a complicated or out of the box outfit. I’d actually call it his summer uniform as he always seems to wear one of his numerous H&M shorts with either a plain shirt or a polo shirt. I do have to admit that even though this makes him a bit boring fashion wise, I do love the way he always manages to not look out of place despite the fact that he’s basically wearing the same thing. I guess his good taste is to ‘blame’ for that! The fact that he decided to wear yet again his boat shoes and that I haven’t noticed that they were the ones he wore last week as well, goes to prove that you don’t really have to have a lots of clothes to look different each time. Well that rule only applies for men, as us women do need to have loads of clothes mainly out of principle!

He also chose a Constantin Nautics bracelet to match mine, and we both decided to wear our Daniel Wellington watches with one of our many matching straps. This is the reason I love our Daniel Wellington watches so much! We can change the strap in 10 seconds and instantly it matches every singe outfit in our closet. If we decide to put on a more fancy leather strap, we can wear out watches to whatever type of formal event comes along. Him being just as loyal to his jewellery as I am, he couldn’t leave his Fossil bracelet at home!

IMG_3036

I think this is my favourite photoshoot so far, but then again, I always seem to be thinking that whenever I see the most recent photos. As boring as this marine theme is, you’ll probably going to see it a few more times this summer as it appears that we have a lot of navy stuff in our closet!

Seaside vibes…

Boy, was today a weird day…but at least D and I matched in the fashion department. Since the last couple of days it has been really warm outside, like summer-warm, about 30 degrees C, my mind kept drifting off to the seaside…so, what better way to make it feel like I’m near the sea than dark blue stripes. The only difference between this outfit worn at the office and the same outfit worn last summer (no clothing items from this season in this post either) is the fact that today I’m wearing stilettos. I love this combo a lot, and I’ve done it a hundred times, sure, different items, I’m talking about the blue and white striped combo. As D leaves home after me (sometimes he even wakes up after I leave) I was very happy when he sent me a pic from the office and I realised that our outfits matched colour-wise. Of course that’s because great minds think alike!

Back to the outfits! The top and pants are both from ZARA (I seem to have a lot of stuff for the office from them) and I think that’s my favourite white top. The blazer is from H&M and the bling is from Swarovski. See that ring? I have it in pink as well (of course) because I couldn’t resist. Let me tell you about the bag, it’s Michael by Michael Kors and I got it for a very low price on The Outnet. This is an online store with designer clothes that are up to 80% off. As this bag, in my opinion has a great shape and is white, I think it’s going to be one of those pieces that I’ll wear forever (or until I see another white bag). The shoes are Christian Louboutin, the So Kate 120 in denim. I have to mention that spending an entire day at work on 12cm stilettos almost got me in tears…but they look great and I have to grow-up (literally) and learn how to walk in 12cm heels all day. That’s on my bucket list for 2016.

IMG_0341

D decided, like me, on an almost entire ZARA outfit – told you that great minds think alike! Apparently we are loyal customers. The shoes are Condor Custom Made and the belt is Damat. To be honest, I love the fact that he is such a great dresser, he sometimes dresses better than me. I can always count on him to look appropriate in any situation and he never ever needs me to show him what to wear (most men do!).

IMG_0347

Anyway, when we met to take these photos I felt as though the whole horrible day I had at work happened ages ago. He has that effect on me every time!
