#Lucky

Note: These photos are two weeks old…. Hope to post newer ones soon!

Besides the obvious reason why I’m feeling lucky these days, the particular subject of this post is why I’m feeling lucky fashion-wise this past year… throughout my pregnancy, loose dresses and over the knee boots were the norm in fashion and right now there is a new trend arising: the mom fit jeans! I can’t emphasize how much I love this cut right now! They are way more comfortable than super skinny jeans – which were my basic – and they are very forgiving with my post-pregnancy body shape! I totally love them and I think I already have 4 pairs in my closet. I seriously wear them all the time. Now these pics were taken two weeks ago – yeah, it takes me this much time to actually edit them and put together a post – so, right now I can say that they fit a whole lot better since my tummy has gotten smaller, my hips are starting to get back to their original shape (lots of walking and baby-handling, but no real workouts yet). I see the light shape-wise!

Since I am writing these post while actively watching baby-Leia, not much text will be found here as she is quite a handful, more active than most babies, but she still sleeps well throughout the night, from around 23:00 until 9:00 most days so we are quite happy with that as we get a lot done during the early mornings. Other than that, she is quite a happy kiddo, with episodes of colics from 19:00 until 21:00, but they have gotten a lot better these past few weeks, which actually means that we can enjoy our evenings more and more… True, she still has her wild moments from time to time, but nothing too notable or too often for us to not be able to happily handle. Right now, despite the sleep deprivation, we can’t imagine how we ever felt complete without her in our lives.
Our dog also fully-feels the effects of a small baby in the house as she seems very tired and snores all the time when she actually gets to sleep, but when baby-Leia is awake, she is always in the room with her and always watches her every move. I think that our girls will be best friends as soon as baby-Leia starts walking!

Thus far I can’t say that I feel the effects of the baby-blues, nor do I feel or ever felt depressed in the past two months. I did have two or three days when I felt a bit anxious, but that passes quickly as soon as I lay my eyes on Leia’s face. As time passes, it appears that she resembles D more and more, but she definitely took my blue eyes. Naturally, we take pics of her almost every day and soon we will post them – like I said, time is a luxury we do not have right now.

Back to the fashion bit… obviously I love the Mom Fit jeans and I hope it stays fashionable until I am fully back in shape and beyond because these jeans are so, so comfortable! I found this particular pair at ZARA (and three other pairs as well) and for someone that loved Replay and Diesel jeans, I have to say that lately ZARA seriously upped their game in the denim department. I ventured in buying quite a few pairs mainly because my pre-pregnancy size fits and I just know that I will wear them for a long time to come. Since they are high-waisted jeans, I found the courage to actually wear a cropped sweater and proudly show you my (still) expanded belly. This lovely sweater is from Mango from last year’s winter collection, but there are quite a few options online right now. I went full-mom and wore my Vans white sneakers to complete the comfy outfit. The lovely bag I am wearing all the time right now was a gift from D for my birthday, and you can find it at Furla. I just love how versatile it is thanks to the brown-black-white combo that just goes with everything. The sunnies are my beloved Dior and the big ring you’ve been seeing lately on my finger is a push-present from my parents. My mom got one from my grandmother when she gave birth to me (or so she says) that has rubies and the one my parents gave me has sapphires and diamonds. I will keep this tradition alive and when Leia decides to give us our first granchild we’ll probably choose emeralds. The lovely bangle and ring set that I am also wearing is from Tous (just love them!) and I can’t seem to be able to part with my Apple Watch these days.

D also decided to go for casual jeans and chose a pair of ZARA ripped jeans (told you they upped their denim game a lot lately) and his leather Superdry jacket. As you will see soon (don’t really know how soon) this was probably the last time he got to wear long sleeved anything as he almost finished his full-arm tattoo sleeve and I can’t wait to show you just how amazing it looks. He wore my favorite Converse x John Vavatos sneakers and even though you can’t see it, he also opted for his Apple Watch and the Tous bracelet I gave him a while ago.

As you can see, we are surviving this new-baby period and, to be completely honest, despite it being very hard, we simply love taking care of our little bundle of joy. She really fills our hearts with happiness every single minute.

Stroll, stroll, stroll in the park – Anex Sport

Wow! Two blog posts in one week…we are really getting the hang of this baby/us balance! It is about time to start reviewing all the baby stuff we bought pre-Leia and give you some insight on what was important for both of us upon buying everything. Today I want to talk about our stroller, the Anex Sport. Naturally, since the lovely spring weather started, we have been testing this stroller every day and on Sunday we actually decided to take some photos for old times sake. Nope, this will not be a review where we show you all the ways this stroller pulls apart and all the very practical gizmos it has. For those types of reviews I suggest you do as we did and watch some YouTube videos. Nope, we did not do a video either mainly because I find video editing to be some sort of alien activity for me right now. This review covers our own personal experience with the Anex Sport stroller and why we chose it as we both had some pretty strong boxes to tick and if you’ll continue reading you’ll soon realize just how different we are when it comes to this matter. Of course, none of us wanted to compromise on quality and safety, but other than that we both went in totally different directions when it came to making a list of our ‘musts’. I have to also mention that this stroller ticked all the boxes on the below lists and that it was actually the only one that managed to do that, or at least that was the situation last autumn when we bought it.

img_7629

We both wanted the following things from the stroller:
– Coconut mattress
– Height adjusting mattress as we noticed baby-Leia likes her head a bit higher than the rest of her body-though we did not know that at the time, but we thought that it was a great feature.
– UV resistant materials.
– Waterproof bag in the lower part of the stroller – this allows us to safely store stuff without having to carry an extra bag everywhere. It is unbelievable how few strollers have this amazing feature as most of them just have a basket and in my opinion everything you store down there gets covered with a thick layer of dust – MAJOR NO-NO!
– Antibacterial and non-allergic materials all over.
– Light and easy folding system.
– Waterproofing all over.
What I wanted in a stroller:
– No velcro anywhere – I think that velcro is the worst for hands and nails as it just scratches everything. Again, you have no idea how many companies use this type of material for their stroller. On top of it all, I dread the thought of baby-Leia’s skin coming into contact with velcro.
– A comfortable breaking system – for most strollers, in order to unbreak the damn thing, you have to put your foot underneath the break which usually means that your shoes get dirty and scratched and I love my shoes too much to put them through that.
– Big, easy to push buttons for all the pieces that come apart – I have to think about my manicure because with a small baby there is virtually no time to fix chipped nails!
– Light and small frame as it has to be able to fit into my Mini – this was actually the only one we found that matched this criteria, but this was not mandatory as I have a lot of space to walk around our apartment complex without having to actually drive anywhere with the stroller, but it is nice to know that it fits.
– Detachable bedding for obvious sanitary reasons.

On me:

Jeans – Replay (yup, pre-pregnancy); Sweater – ZARA; Boots – Ugg; Jacket – Mango; Scarf – Hermes; Bag – Furla; Hat – Mango; Sunglasses – Dior; Watch – Apple

What D wanted:
– Big, rubber wheels because a) they look cool and b) for those moments when we want to go off-road.
– Great suspension because his little princess can’t be disturbed while we walk on the horrible pavements of Bucharest
– Easy access to the front wheels blocking system – with most strolles you have a button in the middle of the wheel which means that your hands get really dirty when you need to block the wheels while this stroller has this button on top of the wheels and far away from the growd or the dirty parts.
– Light aluminum frame.

Jeans – ZARA; Sweater – O’Neill; Vest – ZARA; Shoes – ZARA; Sunglasses – Ray-Ban; Bling – Fossil; Watch – Apple

The Anex Sport stroller was the only one that ticked all the boxes, but there was no way of saying that we will love it or that baby-Leia was going to love it until we tried it-though I did try to convince D that we can test it with our dog inside but he just thought that I was under the influence of pregnancy hormones and ignored me. Come warmer weather, we couldn’t wait to actually get the little pincess and go out to test it! After a few weeks of testing it, we decided to take some photos and post this review here. This stroller is just great!!!! It is very easy to fold and unfold, easy to assemble and great for long walks thanks to those suspensions and the big wheels. I find the bag underneath it especially great since, being spring, there is no actual way of knowing how warm or cold it will be in 15 minutes and I can just toss a blanket there knowing that it will not get dirty and nor do I need an extra bag to protect it. It ‘drives’ wonderfully both in a straight line as well as on a curvy alley. All the usual bumps and kerbs are virtually non-existent for the sleeping baby-Leia so those suspensions really serve their purpose. She seems to enjoy her walks quite a lot and we have actually used the stroller inside our apartment to help her ease those horrible colic episodes. We both love the zip closing system as well as the way all the exterior materials feel. We are beyond happy with our choice and we sincerely recommend this stroller! As a price point, this is not the cheapest, nor is it the most expensive option out there, but it does feel and look like those really expensive strollers that you can find, but as we have discovered, it is more practical that most of them!

Stroller – Anex Sport

When it came to buying baby stuff we approached things with a ‘divide and conquer’ state of mind meaning that D took it upon himself to buy most of the tech-y stuff (stroller included) while I chose everything else (feeding stuff, matress, furniture, carpet etc). This does not in any way mean that we did not talk about each option and we always took the other ones wishes very serious. Since he was the one that had to watch/read 1000 reviews on strolles he got to choose the colour and he decided on this lovely elegant brown and black combo. Obviously for this photoshoot we had to match with it. With the new 2017 collection, Anex offers a very wide variety of new and exciting colours, so if you are in the stroller-buying stage check them out!

That about covers the princess’s means of transport and our first baby stuff review. We will try and post as many reviews as possible, but time is something we don’t really have so bear with us until we really get into a routine with baby-Leia.

We’re having a…

We are beyond excited about the news we got from our last appointment. First of all, the little human growing inside me is very healthy, active and has all the toes and fingers in place. And it’s a GIRL!!! D is going to be surrounded by girls – me, our beloved dog and the little princess that will soon join us! And when I say soon, I mean we are about three and a half months away from meeting her and we can’t wait! No, we did not paint the nursery pink, nor will we buy pink things for her, but we did feel the need to have a pink photoshoot despite it being October and quite cold outside.

Processed with Snapseed.

Both of us suspected that we are going to have a girl from the 12th week when the doctor told us that there is a very good chance of that, but we decided to not get over-excited until we knew for sure. This time we are 100% sure that a little princess will be joining us in January – yes, we saw her hoo-ha and all so this is happening and there is no chance of any surprises. We did not have any preferences going into this pregnancy only that the baby be healthy and that I will feel fine. Up until now, these two wishes have come true and hope things will go on just as smoothly from now on!

That being said, I do not want to make this post about the fashion bit in it as we are under no circumstances dressed for autumn, but rather for this very happy announcement. Since I am coming closer and closer to the last three months of pregnancy, I will soon upload yet another ‘Pregnancy Feelings’ post about the second trimester and besides the feelings, weight gain and healthy bit of it, I really want to share with you all the stuff we planned and did during this trimester to help you understand why any pregnant woman should take fully advantage if this period.

Hopefully, we will soon finish all our redecorating (nesting) and we will be able to share with you all that we’ve been doing for the past few weeks (months?). Until then, enjoy our announcement photos and brace yourselves as our little one is coming and she will come kicking and screaming (hopefully not all the time!).

Pinky Promise!

Nope, this is not the announcement post, mainly because we still do not know 100% what the baby’s sex is. Yes, I know that by the 20th week I should’ve known, but the truth is that my next ultrasound is in two weeks and we didn’t want to submit our bundle of joy to a useless ultrasound just for our own selfish reasons. We can wait a few more weeks, even though, the reality is that the suspense is killing us. The good thing about not knowing combined with the fact that the constructors will be in our house in a few days is that we will not be tempted to do the nursery in pink or blue, but rather in a neutral shade like yellow or green.

Processed with Snapseed.

So, these photos were taken a few days ago, but, as I mentioned in our last post, processing and texts takes a bit of time and right now I am seriously lacking in that department. The belly appears to keep getting larger and larger every single day and we do make a lot of effort to find the time to photo-document this amazing period almost on a daily basis, but unfortunately, the photos will come up online with a delay of a  day or two.

On me:

Dress – Tommy Hilfiger; Shoes – Bigote Paris; Bag – Furla; Bling – Swarovski, Pandora and Tomorrowland; Watch – Daniel Wellington

This time we went for a pink based ensemble, again, because this is yet another dress that I did not want to go to waste simply because it could not fit my belly anymore and I honestly think that in two weeks time that will happen. I just love this dress, I have worn it numerous times this summer but didn’t get a chance to take photos in it. I think we had about three or four missed photo attempts. Anyway…this is a Tommy Hilfiger dress that I think I bought even before knowing anything about the pregnancy and now, you can find it on sale. I love it because of the cut and the very soft material – I have no idea what it is but it is lovely! To keep the pink theme all the way I wore my pink Bigote Paris espadrilles that are yet another find in my (now) clean dressing-room and that I have for at least three years.I could only find their blog online but any pink espadrilles will do, really…

On D:

I also wore my beloved pink bag from Furla that for some reason I’ve been neglecting this summer, even though it was a staple for me last summer. As for the accessories, I opted for my pink floral Swarovski ring that you can’t currently find online as it is from last spring’s collection, but I have linked a decent alternative. I also wore my usual Pandora and Tomorrowland rings that I can’t seem to get enough of lately. Both D and I decided to wear our Daniel Wellington watches with the original nato straps they cam with.

D seems to always be happy whenever we wear pinkish clothes or light blueish ones, so he was really responsive to my pink theme. He opted for his H&M shorts that are currently nowhere to be found online and paired them with his lovely asymmetric t-shirt from EXE, a Romanian brand, that he got while at Untold festival. To complete his look, he wore his blue and pink espadrilles from Paez that he also got from the recently mentioned festival. Bling wise he wore his usual Fossil and Constantin Nautics bracelets.

We took these photos in the park as recently that seems to be our go-to place mainly because it’s a very comfortable location, especially since we’ve been out and about in the city quite a lot lately.

Lazy days…

Baby bump happening yet again here… Do not be fooled by the title as these past two days have been hectic hence the lack of posting, but fear not, we have been shooting every day. The reason we were so busy these past days is because we visited the baby expo twice as apparently choosing stuff for the baby isn’t as simple as we thought. Right now we are struggling to choose a stroller and there are hundreds of options out there. The big thing about out future stroller is that it has to be as comfortable as possible for me to use it, as light as possible, it must be perfectly tailored for the baby’s needs AND it has to fit into my MINI. I will not change my beloved car for a stroller!

Processed with Snapseed.

Therefore, between getting ready for the constructors to invade us, visiting baby expo twice and me trying to decide on furniture and fittings, we did manage to squeeze in a few photoshoots, but editing and text takes more than the said photoshoot and I was simply too tired when we finally got home these past two days. Saturday is here and I woke up committed to editing and posting at least one photoshoot despite the fact that today will be a full day. It seems to be harder and harder to hide the growing baby bump and to be honest, I did not believe at first when people told me that at around week 19 to 20 it will just pop out and there will only be one direction of growing from that point on: larger and larger.

On me:

Dress – Pull&Bear (alternative from H&M); Shoes – Melissa; Bag – Furla; Bling – Pandora and Tomorrowland; Sunglasses – Dior; Watch – Tissot

Despite the fact that this is a more autumnish dress, I really wanted to take pics in it and was lucky enough to have a slightly chillier day on Thursday. I bought the said dress from Pull and Bear last summer while in Milan and I confess that I am afraid that in a month it will not fit me anymore, so here it is in all its splendour. Naturally, it was in last summer’s collection and the only similar alternative I could find online is from H&M.I just the love grey and yellow together. I think they are the perfect couple for any season therefore I always make sure to have a few garments of each colour just waiting to be worn. I paired the grey dress with my Melissa Patchouli grey wedges which conveniently have a yellow stripe at the back. To make matters even more obvious, I wore my yellow Furla tote that you can’t currently find online right now. the alternative I’ve linked isn’t a very good one as it has a bit of brown in it that I honestly am not a fan of.

On D:

Shorts – H&M; T-shirt – Review; Shoes – H&M; Bling – Constantin Nautics (bracelet 1 and bracelet 2); Sunglasses – Oakley; Watch – Tissot

D also has lots of grey things lying around in his closet and luckily for me a few yellow ones as well. This time he chose his zipper t-shirt from Review that matches the grey in my dress perfectly. To make me happier than ever he decided on his yellow shorts from H&M – yes, the H&M shorts are back into action – and the striped espadrilles also from H&M. I have to say that I was a bit surprised that he didn’t opt for a pair of grey shoes as we all know by now that he has quite a few.

When it comes to accessories, he payed way more attention than I did to the subject and chose two bracelets from Constantin Nautics, while I wore my usual Pandora and Tomorrowland rings. We both opted for our Tissot T-Race watches and we both wore sunglasses, I, my beloved Dior So Real and D wore his long-lost (in my car) Oakley Holbrook pair.

As the weeks keep passing we realise that having a kid is not only about literally giving birth to it, but actually it is way more complicated than that! We have to re-do our house, buy furniture, decide an various things, make sure we take photos of this entire period, have a lot of medical visits, decide on the birth plan, make sure I do not forget that I am still a woman (cosmetic procedures and stuff)…and so on… So this might be a time when we are not as active online as we usually are, or at least for the time being, while the constructors are in the house, but we will try and post as often as possible.

Boy/Girl???

Right, so we do not know what the little bundle of joy will be, yet! Well, at least not for sure, and we do not want to announce anything until we know 100%, so we decided we will be really careful what we will wear in order for people to not get the wrong hints/idea. so, here we are, again dressed in pink and blue, and, honestly, I’ve really come to love this combo so much! I know that last spring I wasn’t too keen on pairing these to star-colours together, but I think we’ve done it three or four times by now, and I really like the result a lot.

IMG_4927

This is probably the last time that I will wear this dress as, obviously, pregnancy belly and frills around the waist do not really work great together, but I’m glad I got to wear this dress though as I got it while in Milan from Mango and it would’ve been a pity for it to not see the light of day this year. Also from Milan are these gorgeous Valentino Rockstud in petrol light blue that work wonderful with this pink dress. You know me, I love my stilettos, and I hope that I will be able to wear them until I give birth! And these are some of the most comfortable, if not the most comfortable ones I own. It’s decided! I will wear them when the moment to go to the hospital will come!

Also joining the pastel party, my lilac Furla Metropolis bag that I feel that I have ignored lately despite the fact that I love, love, love it so much! To finish everything, I wore my Swarovski pastel cocktail ring besides my Tomorrowland and Pandora rings. Ok, maybe it’s time to tell you a bit about the always present Pandora and Tomorrowland rings. They are both from D for various important occasions that we celebrated this year and I love them to the point where they are the second most-word jewellery I own aside from my engagement and wedding rings.

D also wanted to keep you guessing about our baby and wore his pink shorts from H&M and his blue polo from Calvin Klein, to match my message. I am not really a fan of his ancient Pull and Bear espadrilles, but I have to admit that they do work nicely with this outfit, colour-wise. Bling wise, he just chose to wear a simple Constantin Nautics bracelet, while both of us wore our Tissot T-race watches.

Do not worry, we will let everyone know what our baby will be when we will be 100% sure by probably having a themed photoshoot!.

Oranges and Blues!

Right, so what do you do when you have a ‘thing’ where you can’t wear a bathing suit even though the weather desperately requires that? I told you that until the weather becomes a bit more normal temp-wise I’m going to continue to whine about it. Back to the question… I’ll tell you what, you’ll just watch how the man of your dreams melts away in long pants and a polo shirt while you enjoy life in an easy-breezy dress and sandals. Sometimes it’s just so good to be a woman!

IMG_3694

Seriously, during summer I do tend to pity men because if you actually have to go to an event where you are not allowed to wear shorts and open shoes, then it just sucks to be a man! I mean, these types of regulations tent to be a lot more permissive with us women. For example these outfits over here. It’s quite easy to see which one of us is more comfortable at 36 degrees… On the other hand, us women bleed for 5 days every month and still live to tell the story, so with that in mind, pitying men just stopped!

On me:

Dress – Atelier Anca Maxim; Shoes – Jimmy Choo; Bag – Furla; Bling – Tomorrowland, Pandora and Swarovski (bracelet and ring); Watch – Tissot

Back to our outfits… The obvious colour palette consists (as the title says) orange and blue. I know this is not really a traditional colour combo, but for some reason I seem to came back to it quite often. The only thing that suffers changes, depending on the season and event, is the intensity of both of the colours involved. Just thought about the fact that i have a perfect orange summer bag from Lancel tucked somewhere in our dressing room that just needs a good photoshoot. I just need to find it! Soon!

IMG_3681

IMG_3688

On D:

Pants – ZARA; T-shirt – Lacoste; Shoes – Tommy Hilfiger; Bling – Fossil; Watch – Tissot

For this cocktail-casual event I chose a very comfortable dress designed by the one woman that actually made my wedding dress as well – Anca Maxim. What I love most about this dress is its versatility. Apparently I’m a big fan of versatility! For these photos I’ve worn the right sleeve up, but I do promise that we’ll shoot it again and I’m going to wear the sleeve down which totally changes the dress. The reason I chose to wear it up was, obviously, the heat! The print on this dress is very easy to combine as well, working well with oranges, blues and yellows. This time I went for my neon orange Jimmy Choo Lance sandals – told you they are an absolute staple and I have them in two colours. Also, to complete the look and carry my phone and house keys, I chose the orange Furla bucket mini bag. As for the bling, naturally, besides my Tomorrowland and Pandora rings I wore a Swarovski cocktail ring and bracelet.

D had to suffer a bit as there was absolutely no way he could get away with wearing shorts this time, so he had to wear his orange ZARA chinos. Obviously, because he wore long pants, flip-flops, be them leather, weren’t an option so he had to wear his Tommy Hilfiger boat shoes. To completely match my dress, he chose his dark blue Lacoste polo t-shirt. He obviously wore his Fossil bracelet and, for a change we both wore our Tissot PR100 which is a very classic watch.

IMG_3692

There you have it! I survived gracefully in the heat while D roasted like a turkey the entire afternoon. Well, sometimes you have to suffer for fashion!

Watermelon season…

…well not yet here, but it better hurry up and come already as watermelons are my favourite fruits during summer. As much as I’d like to have a slice (or a whole one) I know that until July they simply taste like water.

IMG_3814

As you can see in these photos, we’re back to the whole Rose Quartz trend. Funny, it was so big a few months ago that I actually thought that it’s here to stay, like last year’s colour of the year, but it would appear that despite the fact that this year we have two colours to rely on, the fashion industry just isn’t very fond of either of them. In all the stores I looked (online or not), I could barely find anything pink. I mean this dress here has been lying in my closet for a few years now, tags on and everything.

IMG_3795

IMG_3786

On me:

Dress – Mango; Shoes – Sophia Webster; Bag – Furla; Bling – Tomorrowland, Pandora and Swarovski; Watch – Tissot

Trying to keep in topic…the topic being this damn heat wave…Yup, it still hasn’t decided to leave us alone, and we still have temps hitting 40 degrees. The only solution to actually survive is to wear loose clothes and as few accessories as you can. Oh! And drink lots of water! The moment I stepped out of the car and left the comfort of my air conditioning, I realised that these Sophia Webster shoes, adorable and comfy as they are, were not really a good idea in this heat and humidity. I mean, I’m telling you, anything plastic in this heat and you are a dead man walking. Good thing we only spent 30 mins taking these pics and then I was back in the comfort of the AC. As for the dress, you know by now that it’s not a new addition and now it’s time to let you know that it’s from Mango (apparently I have a lot of stuff from Mango as well). The bag you’ve already seen a hundred times and it’s from Furla and the bling, aside from the usual, I wore the big Nirvana ring from Swarovski. Pretty clean and simple if you ask me, though I would’ve preferred to be on a beach somewhere.

IMG_3811

IMG_3802

On D:

T-shirt – Polo Ralph Lauren; Shorts – H&M; Shoes – Tommy Hilfiger; Bling – Fossil; Watch – Tissot

D also went a bit on the pink side with his pink Polo Ralph Lauren t-shirt with, obviously, H&M grey shorts. I’m telling you, he has a hundred colours worth of shorts from H&M. He decided, unlike me, on wearing his very comfortable and weather appropriate boat shoes from Tommy Hilfiger and as for the accessories, he only wore his Fossil bracelet. Naturally, we both wore out paired Tissot T-Race watches to finish our looks.

With all the watermelons in mind, I am one degree shy away from starting to actually do the dance of the rain in order for the temps to actually become a bit more bearable. On that note, I’m off to hug the AC in our living-room.

AHOY!!!

It seems that these fashion posts appear more often lately, but that’s only because we both love dressing up nicely during the warmer months. Wait until the bad weather comes and you’ll see more and more posts from other categories as my uniform in the winter is composed strictly out of skinnies and Uggs. I consider those the boring months. For some reason I can’t seem to find any inspiration during the nasty winter months. Well, we’ll just take it one season at a time.

No matter what we do, we always seem to be coming back to the oh-so-neutral navy and white striped combo. I guess it’s because both of us love going to the seaside so much and until now, we haven’t had the chance to wet our toes into the chilly Black Sea. We did however made the decision to not let July pass without at least one visit to the seaside. The tricky part about July is that it’s quite full with all sorts of stuff (Euro 2016 final – we’re off to Paris), just as crazy as June turns out to be (more details about out travel itinerary next week). What better way to bring the seaside to Bucharest if not by wearing stripes? D went all the way and wore both his boat shoes and his anchor pattern shorts. Unfortunately, I couldn’t convince him to wear red harts as an accent to fully match my outfit, but I think he did a pretty good job despite that.

Since the main theme was us missing the seaside, I decided to wear this lovely but oh so short dress from H&M that I got last year. I love everything about this dress, starting with the 3/4 sleeves and finishing with the fact that it has pockets. I just love everything with pockets and finding dresses that have pockets is really, really hard. Since I didn’t want to repeat the Christian Louboutin navy shoes I wore here, I opted for my Melissa x Vivienne Westwood Dragon Lady white shoes with a big red heart on top. I remember a few years ago (four, I think), these shoes were so popular and so hard to find-well, at least in Romania- but nowadays all the fashionistas seem to have forgotten about them and it’s a pity as these shoes are both fun and very comfortable. True, fashion trends come and go, but in my book, these shoes are forever trendy. I am biased because I do admit to having them in three more colours, so you’ll probably see more and more of them.

On me:

Dress – H&M; Shoes – Melissa x Vivienne Westwood; Bag – Furla; Bling – Pandora, Tomorrowland and Constantin Nautics; Watch – Daniel Wellington

What better bag to match my navy style than the one I bought on the way to London (literally on the plane) from Furla? This bag turns out to be a way better investment that I expected, even D is amazed how many things it matches. This only goes to prove that women are always right when it comes to investing in fashion and men should always listen to them! Bling wise, I think you’ve noticed by now that I am a very loyal person and only add a maximum of two pieces to my usual stuff. For today’s fashion post, I decided to add to my usual jewellery a bracelet from Constantin Nautics that perfectly matched my navy, white and red accents.

On D:

Shorts – H&M; T-shirt – Jack&Jones; Shoes – Tommy Hilfiger; Bling – Fossil and Constantin Nautics; Watch – Daniel Wellington

D always seems to get excited whenever there’s a navy theme and I think that’s maybe because he does have a lot of stuff to match that. This outfit is not really a complicated or out of the box outfit. I’d actually call it his summer uniform as he always seems to wear one of his numerous H&M shorts with either a plain shirt or a polo shirt. I do have to admit that even though this makes him a bit boring fashion wise, I do love the way he always manages to not look out of place despite the fact that he’s basically wearing the same thing. I guess his good taste is to ‘blame’ for that! The fact that he decided to wear yet again his boat shoes and that I haven’t noticed that they were the ones he wore last week as well, goes to prove that you don’t really have to have a lots of clothes to look different each time. Well that rule only applies for men, as us women do need to have loads of clothes mainly out of principle!

He also chose a Constantin Nautics bracelet to match mine, and we both decided to wear our Daniel Wellington watches with one of our many matching straps. This is the reason I love our Daniel Wellington watches so much! We can change the strap in 10 seconds and instantly it matches every singe outfit in our closet. If we decide to put on a more fancy leather strap, we can wear out watches to whatever type of formal event comes along. Him being just as loyal to his jewellery as I am, he couldn’t leave his Fossil bracelet at home!

I think this is my favourite photoshoot so far, but then again, I always seem to be thinking that whenever I see the most recent photos. As boring as this marine theme is, you’ll probably going to see it a few more times this summer as it appears that we have a lot of navy stuff in our closet!
