Autumn has no plans of getting warmer and/or nicer!

If you see D in a jacket than it’s settled: it is cold outside! He usually wears a t-shirt and not much else until the temps get as sown as 15 degrees C, so despite the apparent flimsy warm autumn clothes we are wearing in this photoshoot, let me tell you, it is getting colder every day outside. Which mostly sucks but not really if you consider the fact that I can now wear all my lovely autumn dresses (for a short period of time) and my lovely pumps and boots. That being said, had I not been pregnant, I would’ve whine about this weather in every single post as I have been known to be a spring-summer king of girl that actually hates both autumn and winter. To be honest, this autumn has come way too fast and way too wet for my taste (we only had a few hours to shoot last week in total).

Processed with Snapseed.

Mostly I am over the top because my Herve Leger bandage dress is still fitting nicely over the growing bump. This is a time when the tiny human being inside me grows so fast that I am not really sure in the morning what will still fit me so it is mostly a game of trial and error every single day. I am trying to shoot as many outfits as I can but that bitchy weather is not really helping much (it has been pouring since yesterday afternoon in Bucharest and apparently until Thursday that is the way things are going to stay – here you have it, a weather forecast update). Honestly, by Thursday, I have no idea what in the world will still fit me.

Dress – Herve Leger; Shoes – Guess; Bag – Atelier Lemnia; Coat – H&M; Bling – Swarovski, Constantin Nautics, Pandora and Tomorrowland; Watch – Daniel Wellington

For this photoshoot we both agreed on red, I combined it with black, while D used grey. All in all, I am quite happy with the way things turned out, but it has become more clear now that the man needs a serious autumn shopping trip as his go-to things are t-shirts, jeans and sneakers. Enough about him in this paragraph… As stated earlier, my lovely Herve Leger bandage dress fits and feels wonderfully over my bump (thank you elastic!) therefore I really wanted to take advantage of the matter and shoot some pics in it. I paired it with my red patent Guess pumps that D got for me about 5 or 6 years ago (when Loubs were way out of our budget) and until this day, they are definitely my most comfortable red shoes.

On D:

T-shirt – Scotch and Soda; Jacket – ZARA; Jeans – Scotch and Soda; Shoes – Converse; Bling – Fossil; Watch – Daniel Wellington

To keep my promise where layering is concerned and to keep any cold away, I finished the outfit with my H&M wool jacket that is way warmer that I had expected and will probably hep me get through this winter as well. Moving along to the bag…This bag is yet another item I got at Untold Festival last August (lots of shopping going on there) and it is Romanian made by Lemnia Atelier. You should really check them out as you get great quality for your money. I think that from now on I am going to get most of my clutches from them! Bling wise I wore my Swarovski bracelet, my Constantin Nautics bracelet and both my Pandora and Tomorrowland rings.

D, for some reason really wanted to wear grey, and he did so wonderfully and he managed to match everything in his outfit even better than me. His pinstripe t-shirt is from Scotch and Soda and the thins red lines match his grey Converse sneaks perfectly as they also have a thin red line on the sole. His jeans are also from Scotch and Soda (more matching points!) and his grey leather jacket is from Zara and I think it is just as old as my Guess pumps. He kept his accessorising to a minimum and only opted for his Fossil bracelet. We both wore our matching (well, the nato straps are identical) Daniel Wellington watches.

I can’t really say that I normally hate autumn as that is a very harsh word to describe it, but I do hate the weather we have had so far during this autumn. Like seriously, how much more rain can we get here? It is really messing with my shooting schedule and I think we need to find a place to shoot inside from now on.

Pinky Promise!

Nope, this is not the announcement post, mainly because we still do not know 100% what the baby’s sex is. Yes, I know that by the 20th week I should’ve known, but the truth is that my next ultrasound is in two weeks and we didn’t want to submit our bundle of joy to a useless ultrasound just for our own selfish reasons. We can wait a few more weeks, even though, the reality is that the suspense is killing us. The good thing about not knowing combined with the fact that the constructors will be in our house in a few days is that we will not be tempted to do the nursery in pink or blue, but rather in a neutral shade like yellow or green.

Processed with Snapseed.

So, these photos were taken a few days ago, but, as I mentioned in our last post, processing and texts takes a bit of time and right now I am seriously lacking in that department. The belly appears to keep getting larger and larger every single day and we do make a lot of effort to find the time to photo-document this amazing period almost on a daily basis, but unfortunately, the photos will come up online with a delay of a  day or two.

On me:

Dress – Tommy Hilfiger; Shoes – Bigote Paris; Bag – Furla; Bling – Swarovski, Pandora and Tomorrowland; Watch – Daniel Wellington

This time we went for a pink based ensemble, again, because this is yet another dress that I did not want to go to waste simply because it could not fit my belly anymore and I honestly think that in two weeks time that will happen. I just love this dress, I have worn it numerous times this summer but didn’t get a chance to take photos in it. I think we had about three or four missed photo attempts. Anyway…this is a Tommy Hilfiger dress that I think I bought even before knowing anything about the pregnancy and now, you can find it on sale. I love it because of the cut and the very soft material – I have no idea what it is but it is lovely! To keep the pink theme all the way I wore my pink Bigote Paris espadrilles that are yet another find in my (now) clean dressing-room and that I have for at least three years.I could only find their blog online but any pink espadrilles will do, really…

On D:

T-shirt – EXE; Shorts – H&M; Shoes – Paez; Bling – Fossil and Constantin Nautics; Watch – Daniel Wellington

I also wore my beloved pink bag from Furla that for some reason I’ve been neglecting this summer, even though it was a staple for me last summer. As for the accessories, I opted for my pink floral Swarovski ring that you can’t currently find online as it is from last spring’s collection, but I have linked a decent alternative. I also wore my usual Pandora and Tomorrowland rings that I can’t seem to get enough of lately. Both D and I decided to wear our Daniel Wellington watches with the original nato straps they cam with.

D seems to always be happy whenever we wear pinkish clothes or light blueish ones, so he was really responsive to my pink theme. He opted for his H&M shorts that are currently nowhere to be found online and paired them with his lovely asymmetric t-shirt from EXE, a Romanian brand, that he got while at Untold festival. To complete his look, he wore his blue and pink espadrilles from Paez that he also got from the recently mentioned festival. Bling wise he wore his usual Fossil and Constantin Nautics bracelets.

We took these photos in the park as recently that seems to be our go-to place mainly because it’s a very comfortable location, especially since we’ve been out and about in the city quite a lot lately.

Right before the storm!

I mean right before the storm! The storm last night…literally, the last photo we took coincided with the first drop of rain, that was not actually a drop but rather a puddle of water on our heads. Hence the lack of gifs in this post. Maybe we’ll get luckier today, as I plan to get back on track with the photos mainly because it has dawned on me that I need as many photos of this period because quite honestly, this is the best time I’ve had so far in my life. I mean, despite the adding kilos and the occasional discomforts (more on that in a later post), this has got to be the best I have ever felt about myself and the happiest I have ever been in my life mainly because I have the greatest human being beside me that makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world.IMG_5305

On top of all that sentimentalism, right now we are in full remodelling mode, not completely remodelling our apartment, rather on the redecorating side, but none-the-less, this is something that I love. I loved it when we did our seaside apartment (maybe we’ll do a post on that) and right now it feels even better as we are preparing for the little human being that will be joining us for a big chunk of our lives. That’s not to say that: a) the house is going to be either pink or blue, or b) every corner will be baby-proofed. Not by far, most of the redecorating will be about us trying to give our apartment a new feel, one that marks the next episode of our lives, by only tweaking a few things here and there.

On me:

Dress – Mango; Shoes – DOGO; Clutch – DOGO; Bling – Pandora and Tomorrowland; Watch – Daniel Wellington

Back to yesterday’s photoshoot. I just love the way pics look with a very cloudy sky and I really did not want to miss yesterday’s pre-storm clouds. Do not get me wrong, I just hate cloudy days, those grey cloudy autumn days are just the worst, but the clouds right before a summer storm are amazing. We decided to test our luck and we managed to do a full shoot before the storm started. We even had some strong wind which made it a bit difficult, but the result is lovely. Besides all the turquoise accents, or rather, theme, I really want to point your attention to my DOGO fun shoes and clutch. Did I mention that we are redecorating? Actually we started and managed to finish the dressing room… I know, priorities… But in the process I rediscovered a lot of long-lost but very loved items, true, many of them got binned, but not these two pieces from DOGO that I got a few years ago, but then totally forgot about them. You can find lots of similar fun items online. The dress is from Mango, this is not from the bundle of long-lost items, I got it this year for 7 E and naturally, you can not find the exact colour online anymore but I’ve linked an alternative. I barely worn any accessories because we were in a big hurry to manage to snap some photos before all hell broke loose, so I only wore my Tomorrowland and Pandora rings.

On D:

Shorts – H&M; T-shirt – Mango; Shoes – Paez; Bling – Fossil; Watch – Daniel Wellington

D was nice as always and followed my lead when it came to choosing the colour theme. He decided on his shorts from H&M (did you miss them????) and paired them with his beige t-shirt from Mango. He was most excited about yesterday’s outfit because he got to wear his second pair of Paez shoes and apparently the shoe-craze is starting to rub off on him as well, so our kid has to be a shoe lover. For sure!!!! Because we were in a hurry, he ended up wearing his Fossil bracelet and in some of the photos he ended up accessorising with my clutch as well. We both decided to wear our Daniel Wellington watches, but unfortunately, we totally forgot about changing the nato straps to match our outfits.

I seriously do hope that we will be able to have a full photoshoot today as well, but looking out the window, that might not be possible as the sky is steel grey since this morning and a few afternoon showers are announced. We’ll see… And you will see tomorrow if we managed to snap some shots or not!

Until next time…

This is the last fashion moment we had in Milan, but fear not, this is not the last post from this wonderful city as we still have a lot to tell you about the hotel we stayed at. On this last day, D decided to surprise me with these lovely and much coveted pair of Dior ‘So Real’ sunglasses that I’ve wanted to get for almost a year now. True, I have been splurging on shoes in this last year, and one might argue that if I wanted them so much I should’ve just bought them, but where shoes are concerned, I really wanted/needed a few more pairs to have all the must-haves for any real shoe lover – will do a post on that as my collection is complete…for now. Another reason why I didn’t splurge on these gorgeous sunglasses is the fact that until this years’ collection, none of the colour combos really satisfied my taste fully and I wasn’t keen on paying 150 Euros just to get them customised.

IMG_3592

IMG_3596

Since the designated shopping day had passed and I already had my splurge (Valentino Starstuds) for this vacation, I was sure that these beauties would have to wait a while longer until I got them into my possession. But no! My amazing husband decided to surprise me with them! And what woman doesn’t love these kind of surprises? Especially when they come from their loved one? I was so in love with my new gift that I was determined to wear them despite any weather that might come my way that day! I simply did not want to get them off! Luckily for me, the weather was lovely, as it was throughout our entire stay in Milan and we could visit their biggest park – Sempione Park and snap some photos over there.

On me:

Dress – MANGO; Shoes – Bata; Bag – Obag; Shades – Dior; Bling – Tomorrowland, Pandora, Swarovski and Constantin Nautics; Watch – Daniel Wellington

We did move away from the whole hippie theme on that day, but both of us wore clothes entirely from Mango. Told you the last time that we are having a Mango moment. This time we went darker than all the other days spent here. I opted for an off-the-shoulder flowy dress, in a rich and dark shade of blue that looks black in all of the pics and decided to combine it with wedge brown sandals from Bata that are nowhere to be fond online, so I guess this will be the first time that I won’t actually link something I wore with anything because I haven’t been able to find a worthy alternative either. My bag is newly bought from OBag and is totally customisable, and as for the accessories, you know them too well by now: Tomorrowland, Pandora and Swarovski rings, combined with a Constantin Nautics bracelet. Obviously, the sunglasses are from Dior and I never want to take them off.

On D:

D also went for a darker ensemble that he entirely bought during this vacation from Mango. He paired a pineapple print t-shirt with light blue shorts and striped ancient H&M espadrilles. Being the lovely husband that he is, he matched the nato strap I chose for my Daniel Wellington perfectly. Aside from that, he wore his Fossil and Constantin Nautics bracelets. Our darker choice of items totally mirrored our mood that always seems to get darker at the end of any wonderful vacation we have together. We are however very anxious to get back to our lovely little dog back home as she always brightens up our mood after any trip.

As promised, we still have to tell you about the lovely hotel we stayed in and its lovely gourmet 10th floor terrace. More on that in tomorrow’s last post from Milan.

Mustard Everywhere!

Naturally, we couldn’t not have a photoshoot right in from of the Dome, I mean, we are tourists after all, and we were lucky enough to stumble upon the said area in a moment where there weren’t as many tourists as usual. To keep the earthy, natural, semi hippie mood of the vacation, we both chose mustard as a colour theme for our third day in Milan. We did, however mix it with browns and ended up with a pretty nice combo, if I might add.

IMG_3543

Since asking for ketchup is a total insult anywhere in Italy, while packing, I thought I’d stay clear of any red items that I might have, therefore ending up with a mustard theme. True, this isn’t exactly a hippie outfit, but it is way more casual than anything I usually wear, especially since, yes, this is my second pair of culotte pants and this time, because we were on vacation, I avoided the high heel combo. Partly, I do regret that, looking at the photos, as everything that I managed to avoid when I wore the raspberry culottes last time (short and bulky me), I couldn’t avoid this time thanks to my catalan sandals. But the reality of the matter is, that this look, though not the best one I’ve sported lately, was one of the most comfortable worn in Milan. The advantages of being matched with D to the letter is that people tended to focus not on me on the street but on both of us, which kinda made me feel that they were’t seeing how short I was.

IMG_3556

IMG_3569

On me:

Pants – MANGO, Top – MANGO, Shoes – Avarca (similar to mine); Bag – from Barcelona (something similar from Mango here); Bling – Pandora, Tomorrowland, Swarovski and Constantin Nautics; Shades – Gucci; Watch – Daniel Wellington

IMG_3557

On D:

Shorts – H&M; T-shirt – Lacoste; Shoes – MANGO; Bling – Fossil and Constantin Nautics; Watch – Daniel Wellington

Yes, this is yet again a full Mango look, except for the shoes and bag. It’s not my fault that I can’t really pace myself during their 70% sale, and that I always leave the store with loads of stuff – point at hand, a full vacation worth of clothes. Unfortunately, these culottes were not on sale, but who can resists this lovely shade of mustard, especially as they do tick the other musts for culottes in my book: high waist and knee length. I do confess that I have ironed them before packing but apparently I am not as good at ironing as I’d like to think, this being the reason why only very few items that need ironing are allowed into my wardrobe. The flowy top is also from Mango and this one ticks a lot of trends right now – ruffles and off-the-shoulders, and it was very, very cheap, so this was one of those irresistible buys. Getting home with all of my spoils from Mango, I realised that both the pants and the blouse perfectly match my catalan sandals and my cross-body bag that I got from Barcelona, so this immediately turned into a look for Milan. I just added a Constantin Nautics bracelet and my Tomorrowland, Pandora and Swarovski rings and I was all set!

Naturally, D had to oblige and go for a mustard theme as well. Luckily, when packing, we both spotted his Lacoste polo that is the exact shade as my pants, and from there on it was easy, We just added a pair of H&M beige shorts and the only thing left was to find the right pair of shoes. Though we did leave Bucharest with a pair of spare brown shoes, these mustard espadrilles just found us in Milan at Mango. Apparently, we both have a thing for Mango right now. All he had to do was add his Fossil and Constantin Nautics bracelet, and we both had to find matching nato straps for our Daniel Wellington watches and we were in a full mustard colour scheme, ready to take on Milan for a full day of shopping. And boy did we shop like crazy people in Milan!

Rompers and Cargos!!!

Here we are at our 100 blog post! I guess we can call this one a celebratory post and maybe it would’ve been nice to have a sort of recap of all the other posts, but truth be told, I didn’t really want to postpone the Milan saga, especially since yesterday I had absolutely no time to do a decent post. These photos were take on our second day in Milan, when D decided to surprise me and take me to the Alfa Romeo Historical Museum (more on that in a different post tomorrow). Anyone that knows me, is aware of the fact that I love, love, love cars and that my first car was an Alfa Romeo Mito. I loved that car so much and parting with it was one of the hardest things I had to do, but I know now that it is loved and happily used by yet another car lover.

IMG_3465

Back on point… Since this was a motor orientated day, I decided to wear a romper and urged D to follow my lead colour wise, hence the whole army look we both rocked that day. Usually, I hate rompers, because, as any woman knows, going to the toilet in a romper is hard work. But that day I wasn’t worried about that at all, mainly because I knew that wherever we would go I would find decent clean toilets, therefore making this task easy and comfortable. As you know, being away, I rarely ever bring lots of bags, but rather I bring along one or two that go with most of my outfits.

IMG_3485

IMG_3498

On me:

Romper – MANGO; Bag – MANGO; Shoes – MTNG; Sunglasses – Gucci; Bling – Swarovski, Pandora and Tomorrowland rings and Constantin Nautics bracelet; Watch – Daniel Wellington

So, moving along to the details of my outfit. Yet again I am rocking a Mango look, both the romper and the bag costing a total of 30 Euros thanks to Mango’s amazing discounts. This bag is so very versatile, as you saw in the previous fashion post, it worked great with my totally hippie dress and works just a great with this utility inspired jumpsuit. Because apparently the outskirts of Milan (where the museum was located) are very much like the outskirts of Bucharest, meaning that if you are a pedestrian you are going to have a hard time – more on that tomorrow- I knew I had to wear the most comfortable shoes I had bought along, leaving me no choice in that department than to go with the MTNG sneaks I got from Madrid. Luckily (well, not luck, but a lot of planning) for me they worked perfectly with the colour theme of the day. Aside from the clothes, the main accessories consisted of my Gucci sunglasses, Pandora, Tomorrowland and Swarovski rings and a Constantin Nautics bracelet.

IMG_3484

IMG_3479

On D:

Shorts – Scotch and Soda; T-shirt – Tommy Hilfiger; Shoes – Pull and Bear; Bling – Fossil and Constantin Nautics; Watch – Daniel Wellington

Obviously, to match the theme imposed, D chose to wear as much camouflage as he had in his luggage. He did go a bit rogue when he decided to match it with light greyish blue. To move along to the specifics, he wore his Scotch and Soda shorts (yes, they are not from H&M) and his Tommy Hilfiger t-shirt. To match and also to get away with his t-shirt choice, he wore his ancient Pull and Bear espadrilles and, to be honest, I was surprised at how well they matched. Aside from that, he only wore his Constantin Nautics bracelet and obviously the Fossil brown leather bracelet that I got him from London this March. We both wore our Daniel Wellington watches with matching nato straps.

All in all, wearing an utility colour made us feel like we belonged in the Alfa Romeo factory and we were quite comfortable throughout the day especially thanks to our very comfortable shoe choices!

Hippie Hippie Shake in Milan!!!

This is the first of many (four) outfit posts that we shot in Milan. For this short trip, my choice of colours was very earthy which is very unnatural to me. For some reason they started appealing to me right before I started packing and there you have it, the whole trip (well, most of it) we were both kinda hippy, kinda earthy. It’s a good thing that I chose mostly loose clothes as the weather in Milan was very hot, somewhat like Bucharest these days but with a much lower humidity, making it more pleasant to breathe in there.

IMG_3383

I’ve decided that these outfit posts are going to come in the order they occurred during this long weekend, therefore this was the first fashion moment from the very day we arrived there. We only got to shoot near out hotel and a bit at the Dome area because we only had a few hours of natural daylight and we did have a reservation to one of the best restaurants in Milan (Michelin stars and everything) and we just couldn’t be late. Yes, to answer your question, they let us into the restaurant dressed like that, so there wasn’t any imposed attire upon entry, but you do need to make a reservation in advance, at least a week before. Enough about that, as tomorrow’s post will be on that delicious start to our fattening process in Milan.

On me:

Dress – MANGO; Sandals – Gioseppo; Bag – MANGO; Bling – Tomorrowland, Pandora, Swarovski and Constantin Nautics; Shades – Gucci; Watch – Daniel Wellington

Back to the fashion moment we both shared on our first day… As stated earlier, I am a bit into the whole earthy, hippie trend right now, so I chose this lovely and very comfortable (really comfortable!) dress from Mango, that I got for next to nothing (discount alert throughout their stores – up to 70%)  – about 15 Euros – right before I started packing. To keep with the theme, I chose my Gioseppo sandals but instead of wearing the lace up to my knees I decided on a much more comfortable approach and tied them at my ankles. The bag was also a bargain from Mango and it fits perfectly with all the boho accessories I already have ready for this summer. As usual, I kept it simple accessories wise and only added the Swarovski ring set to my Pandora and Tomorrowland rings. I love this ring set as it’s very versatile and whenever I am packing I am always tempted to bring it along mainly because there are lots of ways to combine the three rings, but somehow, I always end up wearing it the same way (as you can see in the previous fashion posts). To complete my look, I also chose a Constantin Nautics bracelet and my Gucci big, brown shades that make me feel like Nicole Richie on a boho day.

IMG_3396

IMG_3397

On D:

Pants – ZARA; T-shirt – Tommy Hilfiger; Shoes – Nike; Bling – Constantin Nautics and Fossil; Watch – Daniel Wellington

D kept things on a cleaner side, and wonderfully fooling me into going out with him without looking like a hobo (like me). The intelligent thing he did was that he wore more or less the same colours and therefore I was fooled into thinking that we matched. Looking at the photos, I now realise that he looks way more put together than me and I seriously think that he is the reason we were let inside the restaurant. To fool me, he chose his burnt orange pants from ZARA and combined them with a v-neck t-shirt in dark grey from Tommy Hilfiger. Somehow, he managed to perfectly match his Nikes to the whole outfit therefore fooling me into thinking that he was also in a earthy, hippie mood. Aside from his Fossil bracelet, he also wore a Constantin Nautics bracelet – told you he used all sorts of tricks to make me believe we matched. As with most of our vacations, we chose to bring along our Daniel Wellington watches with lots of nato straps to match every day.

After seeing these pics, as with all the photos from this weekend, I decided that since summer is here, I need to start trying out some of those much praised Vita Liberata self tanning mouses and I promise that I will photo document every step and come up with a review some time next week. Until then, I must warn you that a lot of Milan posts are still to come!

Forest Sprites…

I love everything frilly and airy this summer. Part of the reason being the fact that summer suddenly struck Romania like a thunderbolt. After April and May which were filled with 18 degrees maximum temps, yesterday, my Mini showed 40 degrees and today, as I am writing this, the atmosphere is unbreathable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the amazing person that invented the AC!!!This is probably the reason why the area we are living in is going to be especially crowded today. Living near the forest, on the outskirts of Bucharest has its advantages, but then summer weekends come and it all goes to hell! It seems like everyone just moves in this area and the small 4 degrees advantage we had over the centre of the city just goes to waste, and we all suffer the same.

IMG_3109

Back on topic. We are not really forest-people, meaning that I would much rather spend my day in a nice SPA than doing long walks in the wood, but the other day, I just couldn’t handle the heat anymore and told D that I needed to go to a shadowy place to cool off. Naturally, the moment we arrived at this forest road, we suddenly remembered why neither of us likes these types of activities: insects! I mean, you probably realised by now that I love shoes – bear with me, I have a point. You know, if you are anything like me, the strong attraction you feel towards a pair of Loubs, with their high, high pointy heel and their beautifully shaped toe, it’s that kind of attraction that is simply unbearable and it’s best for my bank account to not look either online or in the stores too often. Well, that exact type of attraction is, I suppose, what mosquitos feel when they see me! Or D, for that matter, as he is just as loved by mosquitos as shoes are loved by me!

IMG_3092

IMG_3087

On me:

Dress – Dana Budeanu; Shoes – Barcelona; Bag – Love Moschino; Bling – Pandora, Tomorrowland, Constantin Nautics and Swarovski; Watch – Daniel Wellington

That being said, we still ventured in the forest the other day, and yes, we had a good time snapping these pictures here! True, we left nature with a few bug bites, but overall we didn’t die! Yet! I’ll keep you posted on that situation! The point I wanted to make was MUSTARD! I mean, MUSTARD coloured anything! I just love this shade of yellow, way better that any other type of sunny yellow. For some weird reason, I think this shade is way more versatile than any other yellowish variety. I especially love it combined with beige or brown, or even grey. Basically, this shade works with any neutral colour in the universe!

Obviously, last year when I saw Dana Budeanu‘s collection and eyed this specific dress, I just couldn’t help myself! It was somewhat the same feeling I get with shoes (SOMEWHAT!). Naturally, I couldn’t help myself and filled the cart with a few other pieces as well which you are going to see throughout this summer. You can still find some alternative pieces in the current collection, and by the looks of it, most of the stuff is in this beautiful shade as well (watch out Mastercard!). The cut of this dress is well in trend this year as well, with the loose feel, the bare shoulders and the all around frill. Mostly this dress is perfect for the seaside, but whenever I want to go out into nature and feel like a sprite, I usually go for this kind of cut.

IMG_3100

IMG_3101

On D:

Shorts – H&M; T-shirt – Lacoste; Shoes – VAS; Bling – Fossil and Constantin Nautics (bracelet1 and bracelet2); Watch – Daniel Wellington

I coupled the dress with my catalan sandals that I got from my first visit to Barcelona, over 10 years ago. These sandals are usually my go to during the summer, especially when I have a lot of walking to do because they are extremely comfortable once you make peace with them. Unlike any other flat shoes, these are killers in the beginning, until the leather matches the shape of your foot. I am so glad I had enough patience with them ( I usually don’t do that) as for the past 8 or 9 summers (yes, it took them an entire summer to understand that I am not the one to give up on them!) they have been with me everywhere. The fact that they kept their like-new appearance is amazing and I do kinda regret not buying another pair the last time we were in Barcelona. I also wore my Love Moschino beige bag that you can’t find online currently, but there are loads of other options. Accessory wise I kept it to a minimum with my Swarovski ring set and my Constantin Nautics bracelet. As for the hair, a real sprite can’t be a sprite with loose hair so I went for the tube up-do (as I call it).

D also played along and chose to pair his mustard Lacoste polo with beige H&M shorts. Yes, that is yet another pair of the same shorts you’ve been seeing recently on this blog. I made a promise to myself to actually go and count how many colours he has them in. Not that I am complaining, because my man is very trendy and he can match my style everyday. In keeping with the matching bit, he, like me wore Spanish shoes. True, his are newer and not from Barcelona, but Madrid counts and these leather flip-flops are beige just like mine. Bling wise, he, yet again, paid more attention to details and wore two Constantin Nautics bracelets and his Fossil bracelet. We changed the straps to our Daniel Wellington watches and pwoffff! they perfectly match both of our outfits!

IMG_3114

All in all, we did enjoy the fact that there were 3 degrees less in the forest, but the scratching championship that occurred after our nature visit made us totally rethink our options! I mean, we do have air conditioning and we really don’t need any new scars on our legs. Basically, the conclusion was that we are not nature-oriented people and that is ok, nature is definitely for others, we respect nature, but we just shouldn’t spend too much time in it!

AHOY!!!

It seems that these fashion posts appear more often lately, but that’s only because we both love dressing up nicely during the warmer months. Wait until the bad weather comes and you’ll see more and more posts from other categories as my uniform in the winter is composed strictly out of skinnies and Uggs. I consider those the boring months. For some reason I can’t seem to find any inspiration during the nasty winter months. Well, we’ll just take it one season at a time.

No matter what we do, we always seem to be coming back to the oh-so-neutral navy and white striped combo. I guess it’s because both of us love going to the seaside so much and until now, we haven’t had the chance to wet our toes into the chilly Black Sea. We did however made the decision to not let July pass without at least one visit to the seaside. The tricky part about July is that it’s quite full with all sorts of stuff (Euro 2016 final – we’re off to Paris), just as crazy as June turns out to be (more details about out travel itinerary next week). What better way to bring the seaside to Bucharest if not by wearing stripes? D went all the way and wore both his boat shoes and his anchor pattern shorts. Unfortunately, I couldn’t convince him to wear red harts as an accent to fully match my outfit, but I think he did a pretty good job despite that.

Since the main theme was us missing the seaside, I decided to wear this lovely but oh so short dress from H&M that I got last year. I love everything about this dress, starting with the 3/4 sleeves and finishing with the fact that it has pockets. I just love everything with pockets and finding dresses that have pockets is really, really hard. Since I didn’t want to repeat the Christian Louboutin navy shoes I wore here, I opted for my Melissa x Vivienne Westwood Dragon Lady white shoes with a big red heart on top. I remember a few years ago (four, I think), these shoes were so popular and so hard to find-well, at least in Romania- but nowadays all the fashionistas seem to have forgotten about them and it’s a pity as these shoes are both fun and very comfortable. True, fashion trends come and go, but in my book, these shoes are forever trendy. I am biased because I do admit to having them in three more colours, so you’ll probably see more and more of them.

On me:

Dress – H&M; Shoes – Melissa x Vivienne Westwood; Bag – Furla; Bling – Pandora, Tomorrowland and Constantin Nautics; Watch – Daniel Wellington

What better bag to match my navy style than the one I bought on the way to London (literally on the plane) from Furla? This bag turns out to be a way better investment that I expected, even D is amazed how many things it matches. This only goes to prove that women are always right when it comes to investing in fashion and men should always listen to them! Bling wise, I think you’ve noticed by now that I am a very loyal person and only add a maximum of two pieces to my usual stuff. For today’s fashion post, I decided to add to my usual jewellery a bracelet from Constantin Nautics that perfectly matched my navy, white and red accents.

On D:

Shorts – H&M; T-shirt – Jack&Jones; Shoes – Tommy Hilfiger; Bling – Fossil and Constantin Nautics; Watch – Daniel Wellington

D always seems to get excited whenever there’s a navy theme and I think that’s maybe because he does have a lot of stuff to match that. This outfit is not really a complicated or out of the box outfit. I’d actually call it his summer uniform as he always seems to wear one of his numerous H&M shorts with either a plain shirt or a polo shirt. I do have to admit that even though this makes him a bit boring fashion wise, I do love the way he always manages to not look out of place despite the fact that he’s basically wearing the same thing. I guess his good taste is to ‘blame’ for that! The fact that he decided to wear yet again his boat shoes and that I haven’t noticed that they were the ones he wore last week as well, goes to prove that you don’t really have to have a lots of clothes to look different each time. Well that rule only applies for men, as us women do need to have loads of clothes mainly out of principle!

He also chose a Constantin Nautics bracelet to match mine, and we both decided to wear our Daniel Wellington watches with one of our many matching straps. This is the reason I love our Daniel Wellington watches so much! We can change the strap in 10 seconds and instantly it matches every singe outfit in our closet. If we decide to put on a more fancy leather strap, we can wear out watches to whatever type of formal event comes along. Him being just as loyal to his jewellery as I am, he couldn’t leave his Fossil bracelet at home!

I think this is my favourite photoshoot so far, but then again, I always seem to be thinking that whenever I see the most recent photos. As boring as this marine theme is, you’ll probably going to see it a few more times this summer as it appears that we have a lot of navy stuff in our closet!

Raspberry Temptation!

I finally gave into the ‘culottes’ trend, but not before extensive searches for shorter versions with the mandatory high-waist. Obviously, no matter how short they were or how high the waistline was, I still would’ve looked like a fat midget if I had not paired them with high stiletto heels. Trust me, I’ve tried loving them with flats or wedges, but the mirror kept showing a fat baggy version of myself.

It’s reaspberry season, and make no mistake, I don’t know this because I’m a green-fingers fanatic, because I’m not, as I realized quite soon in my adult life that gardening and mannicures don’t go hand in hand. I know all about this period because my parents bring me lots of garden grown raspberries from the countryside house they own. Since it’s the season, I decided to do a colour theme and luckily I found these pants to match.

On me:

Culottes – Mango; Top – ZARA; Bag – Furla; Shoes – Sophia Webster; Bling – Swarovski (bracelet and ring), Pandora and Tomorrowland; Watch – Daniel Wellington

These culotte pants are the ones I bought last week, when I was whining about not having a proper lunch, from Mango, and they have them in three other colours as well. Deciding on raspberry pink was rather hard and I do feel that I’ve betrayed the other three colours. But, considering the fact that I felt really good in them, maybe I’ll decide to splurge on another colour, just don’t let D know about it! To freshen up the look, I opted for my favourite white blouse from ZARA, and after seeing the pics, I instantly decided than no matter how many other white blouses I own, this will probably be my number one pick always.

On D:

Pants – ZARA; Shirt – H&M; Shoes – Benvenutti; Bling – Fossil, Constantin Nautics; Watch – Daniel Wellington

In order to make my legs look longer and get an overall not-bulky apparence, I chose to wear Sophia Webster’s Portia pumps in pink petent and silver accents, that perfectly match my pink Furla bag. Basically I ended up looking like a huge raspberry, and even though you can’t really see it in the pics, I also wore a raspberry hue on my lips. The nice thing I noticed, besided my fruity looks is that the whole ensemble matched my new tattoo nicely. Jewelry wise, I didn’t go overboard and only wore my Nirvana pink ring and my Stardust bracelet both from Swarovski, not forgetting my Tomorrowland and my Pandora rings.

D also went along with my not so masculine raspberry theme and wore his pink shirt from H&M that perfectly matched his espadrilles from Benvenutti. In order for me not to be the only one with the funny-length pants, I convinced him to wear his Frodo-pants from ZARA. Truth be told, he didn’t need much convincing, as these pants are among his favourites this summer. Bling wise he was more conservative than me, and chose his ever-present Constantin Nautics and Fossil bracelets. We seem to be really boring where watches are concerned as lately we’ve been rotating between out Longines and Daniel Wellingtons, with the latter being the winner for this photoshoot.

I’m really glad we got to do this photoshoot at sunset, as the warm light really played well with our colour palette. Looking more carefully at these culottes, I’m seriously considering getting them in a bunch of other colours because they are really confortable and airy and therefore perfect for those long warm summer nights.
