Rome wasn’t built in a day…

…and apparently it will take a lot longer to get rid of my post-pregnancy tummy…or ass! I am not complaining in any way as getting back in my pre-pregnancy size this fast after giving birth was a big and welcome surprise, but that doesn’t mean that I do not want my abs to get back to where they were asap! I am well aware that this will take time as it took nine months of expanding to deliver the miracle that soundly sleeps in her bed as I am writing this, but I am willing to start working hard to get back to where I was in March last year. I am also well aware that this will be a long and hard road especially since I plan to continue to feed Leia with breast milk and the moment I start dieting (not some sort of crazy diet, but rather a light one) my milk starts to decrease in quantity so I have to be careful with that. So, on that note, my tummy and ass will have to wait a bit because…priorities!

As I mentioned before, I feel quite lucky that mom jeans and high waisted anything is fashionable right now as I have an extra layer to cover up and keep everything in place. These jeans I was wearing last Saturday when we took these photos are not the coveted mom cut, but rather a relaxed crop cut, but I love them nonetheless for the fact that they are crazy comfortable, a light wash (perfect for spring) and because of the cool catus embroidery that immediately got me thinking about summer. Yes, they are also a size 34, which means that I am still not wasting money on clothes that I will not wear once I’ll be back in shape and surprisingly they are from Bershka. I say ‘surprisingly’ because I can’t remember the last time I shopped from them mainly because I think that I am over their age-target (read that : ‘I feel too old for their stuff’).IMG_7742

IMG_7748

On me:
Jeans – Bershka; Sweater – Bershka; Sneakers – MTNG; Bag – Atelier Lemnia; Bling – Tous (bracelet and ring); Watch – Apple

Since I worked up the courage to go into their store, I also bought this lovely spring sweater (that does absolutely nothing to keep me warm), specifically choosing this colour to match my rope sneakers that I bought in Madrid last spring. This lovely bag that I am sporting is my second addition from Atelier Lemnia (I just LOVE them!) and was a gift from close friends. It is the perfect size to fit my upmost necessities: phone, lipliner, lipstick, keys and gum and it is the perfect size to allow me to have my hands free and care for princess Leia.

On D:
Jeans – ZARA; T-shirt – Replay; Sneakers – Replay; Vest – ZARA; Bling – Fossil and Tous; Watch – Apple

D also went for the same color scheme : khaki and blue. He chose his distressed khaki pants from ZARA – yes, like I said, ZARA makes some amazing pants these days – and paired them with a Replay t-shirt. He added a little twist to his attire by adding a splash of orange with his belt and sneakers (also from Replay). Since last Saturday was a bit chilly and he still is in the healing process of his (almost) finished sleeve, he decided to keep warm with his trusted vest from ZARA. Btw, notice how cool his tattos are? I can’t wait to see the finished sleeve in about a week or so… and I also can’t wait to share it with you! Accessory-wise, beside the all-present Anex Sport stroller, we both wore our Apple Watches, D chose both his Fossil and Tous bracelet while I opted for my now-omnipresent Tous bracelet and ring set as well as my sapphire ring.

Since yet again I am on active mommy-watch (as I probably will be for the next few years) I will have to conclude this post right now, but, as a sneak-peak into our next post, I have to say that it will probably be about princess Leia if she decides to give me enough time to put together a post worthy of her (text and photos). There are also a few things that I want to share with you about what we’ve learned during these first 10 weeks of having a kid as there are some lessons that I would’ve gladly not learn the hard way. Until then, I’ll just leave you with these pics!

Finally…some autumn shades!

Finally we are wearing a bit of brown! Beige actually, but the important thing is that we are  matching with our decor! Remember when I told you that I have some more over the knee boots on the way? Well this is one of the pairs! Yes, over the knee boots and Uggs are my current go-to uniform and I just love it! I mean there is nothing more comfortable than Uggs, as I mentioned in the previous post, and in my opinion nothing sexier than over the knee boots so I am and will abuse both of them! We are not really accustomed to wearing being and/or brown therefore there are not many pieces in our closet in that colour but after seeing these pics we are going to take some measures to fix that. Well D is, because I am still not comfortable buying lots of clothes but I do admit that from time to time I tend to go wild and buy stuff that I know I will wear post-pregnancy. We did feel the need to compliment our beige outfits with one of our favourite colours: blue and I honestly love this combo and will probably wear it quite a lot.

img_6894

Does the dress seem familiar (yes, it is a dress)? Well that’s because it is one of my summer dresses that I also wore here and that surprisingly still fits and feels great over my bump. Having recently discovered that I can layer basically any sweater on top of a summer dress, this look will probably be repeated lots of times during this season as I do still have a lot of dresses that are summer appropriate that still fit nicely. The secret with the sweater is that, right now, I am mostly wearing the sweaters that I used to wear as dresses last year. Because of the growing bump, they do not cover as much as they used to so a bit of layering is necessary. Regarding the details, the dress is from H&M and the sweater is from last year’s ZARA winter collection but I did link an alternative.

On me:

Dress – H&M; Sweater – ZARA; Boots – Public Desire; Bag – Love Moschino; Hat – Mango; Sunglasses – Gucci; Bling – Swarovski (ring and bracelet), Tous, Tomorrowland, Pandora; Watch – Apple

The boots! Let’s talk a bit about the boots. They are from Public Desire which are having a hype-moment on the internet right now and are some of the most affordable boots I own (actually the most affordable). They do deliver great quality for the price and their delivery service is great – I got them within a weeks from ordering. Naturally, I got them in another colour as well – which you will see shortly – and I have to point this out: they are extremely comfortable especially given the fact that this model is 11 cm high and I am 7 months pregnant. The hat is from Mango and I bought it last summer while in Milan. I did link an alternative and you can find lots of beige wool hats at other brand as well. Since the outfit crossed the hippie border a bit I felt the need to add a soft leather boho bag from Love Moschino that I got a few years ago. Naturally my big Gucci glasses could not miss the opportunity to see the light of day especially since we did get a bit of sun the day we shot these pics.

On D:

Coat – ZARA; T-shirt – H&M; Jeans – Replay; Boots – ZARA; Bling – Fossil; Watch – Ingersoll

D is a bit more newly dressed than me because hey, if I can’t buy clothes for myself, he might as well do it and I seriously love the fact that he shows interest in the new collections more and more these days and I enjoy going shopping with him very mush – no, I do not point out to him what he should or should not buy as he has a pretty strong sense of style, I’m there to confirm and urge him to buy stuff! Like this trench coat over here! He just looks so amazing in trench coats but for some reason he never owned one before, so I made him buy this lovely and very comfortable one from ZARA. If only they did a similar model for women as well as I feel that women’s are so rigid and uncomfortable. The boots are also new and also from ZARA and I think they match perfectly with the trench coat. Lately he has been known to wear comfortable basic white t-shirts and the ones from H&M are just great: they feel and fit perfectly to his frame and are very cheap so there is no panic if he stains them with his new tattoo. The jeans are some of his most reliable jeans from Replay.

Accessories wise, while you can’t see D‘s I am letting you in on a little secret: he was wearing his beige Ingersoll watch and his brown Fossil bracelet. I, on the other hand, decided to go in full-rings mode and wore my new favourite Tous ring alongside two Swarovski rings, a Pandora ring and my Tomorrowland ring. I just love these little rings that you can stack and wear in multiple ways. I also wore my Apple watch and my Swarovski bracelet.

img_6896

That about covers today’s post and I must confess that lately the weather has been horrible but I do hope that during the weekend we will be able to go out and shoot some of my picks from the Kenzo x H&M collaboration – yes, I could not help myself! And also some new pairs of over the knee boots…

Morning Sun…

I love early morning sunshine, but it can be a real bitch where photos are concerned. We managed to shoot on a perfect autumn day: clear skies, breezy temps and lots of wonderful colours in the trees. I just hope we’ll be able to have at least one day per week of this perfect weather so we can shoot the growing baby bump and keep track of my expanding body. By now the little princess seems to be very, very active and  sometimes I just want to sit still and enjoy her little movements and that can sometime be a deferral from taking photos or any other activities.

img_5994

What can I say about today’s fashion choices. Obviously I love the way I feel in my thigh high boots and I have to say, these are really comfortable and give me bit o height to counterbalance the extra kgs I’ve acquired during the last 6 months. It seems that I am more and more prone to wearing heeled shoes just so I can seem just a bit taller and leaner that I actually do. I am quite sure that by the end of this trimester I will care less and less about that and more and more about being comfortable and luckily for me, UGG season is approaching fast and there’s nothing more comfortable than a cozy pair of UGGs!

img_5970

img_5967

On me:

Skirt – Herve Leger; Blouse – Mango; Vest – H&M; Boots – Rachel Zoe; Bag – Michael Kors; Bling – Swarovski (bracelet 1, bracelet 2 and ring); Watch – Tissot

I know that we should dress in pink as often as possible, since we are having a girl, but as long as we did not buy anything pink for her or her nursery thus far I think we can safely say that we are not going to turn into pink bundles of joy all together. This time the combo of choice was black (for obvious reasons) and blue. I love wearing this combo and I though I’d take advantage of the fact that my Herve Leger mini is still fitting (I’ve had it for a few years now) – FYI this is an actual office appropriate knee length pencil skirt but taking into consideration the baby bump, it has turned into a mini and will probably become too indecent for public exposure in a few weeks. I paired the newly mini skirt with my Rachel Zoe boots and I have to say that I kinda felt a bit like Julia Robert in Pretty Woman, minus the latex.

img_5983

img_5984

On D:

T-shirt – Calvin Klein; Jeans – Review; Shoes – Converse x John Varvatos; Bling – Fossil and Constantin Nautics; Watch – Tissot

In order for my outfit to not be too revealing, I topped everything with my H&M vest that you will see a lot of this autumn. It covers just the right places in order for me to feel confident! I opted for a calf hair mini box cloth from Michael Kors as this seems to be my go-to black clutch during autumn and winter months. Bling wise I went a bit overboard wearing two Swarovski bracelets plus a ginormous cocktail ring also by Swarovski.

D wore those amazing jeans from Review that I swore I was going to make him buy a few more pairs, just to be sure he has them in all the available colours and paired them with his lovely blue polo shirt from Calvin Klein. He did wear a grey and blue combo and our blues are not really matching but as long as both of us were happy, who really cares? As usual lately, he wore his Converse x John Varvatose sneaks simply because he seems to have a hard time transitioning from his summer shoes to his autumn ones. Bling wise he was a bit more reserved than me and wore his Constantin Nautics bracelet alongside his Fossil one. For some reason, our go-to watches lately are out Tissot T-Race ones and that might be because of the very comfortable strap and the fact that they are quite light in comparison to most of our other watches.

img_5995

I just love it when we manage to get out of the house and actually have time for a fun photoshoot as we always seem to have a real bias doing them. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for at least one nice day per week so we do not have to resort to taking photos in our garage as that will be a real shame.

Favourite so far…

I think I have found my favourite dress/ caftan in the whole world. First of all, with all this getting fat around all the places that I’ve been busting my ass to avoid, I feel like there’s not much that works well with my newly acquired curves. This caftan is different though, it just hides everything that needs hiding and only shows the best you’ve got. Although I’ve always wanted a caftan, for some reason I never got around to actually buying one until this summer in Milan. But I will not stop at this one, NO!

IMG_4117

I will make it my goal to find as many beautiful caftans as possible this summer. Well, especially this summer, as I really need them to make me look my best given the new fattening circumstances…As for the colour theme of this photoshoot, the full blue look occurred by chance and has nothing to do with what our baby will be. I just needed to get that out of the way in order ton proceed to the actual fashion post at hand.

IMG_4124

On me:

Dress – Luisa Spagnoli; Sandals – Love Moschino (alternative); Bag – Mihaela Glavan; Bling – Swarovski, Tomorrowland and Pandora; Sunglasses – Dior; Watch – Tissot

Have I ever told you how much I love the blue, turquoise and yellow combo? Well, let me just insist on the fact that in my opinion there is no other combo that screams long summer days more than this one. Like, seriously, there’s nothing better! And, not to brag, but this caftan has all these amazing summer colours combined to perfection, AND (drumroll), D was the one that actually found it at Luisa Spagnoli while we were in Milan. I have to admit that I was very surprised of his find because this is one of my mother favourite shops and we were actually in it trying to find something for her. Obviously, this does not mean that I do not have more stuff from Luisa Spagnoli, it just means that I am surprised that D found the perfect caftan for me there in less than 2 mins.

IMG_4105

On D:

Shorts – H&M; T-shirt – Polo Ralph Lauren; Shoes – Polo Ralph Lauren; Bling – Constantin Nautics; Sunglasses – Ray-Ban; Watch – Tissot

I was totally inspired and decided to wear it on yet another hot, hot, day in Bucharest and I paired it with my yellow Love Moschino bow sandals that I’ve had for ages and that I couldn’t find anywhere online. The reason I chose yellow sandals is the fact that this outfit needed just a bit more yellow in it to prove my colour point. I also chose my Mihaela Glavan gold clutch bag and the huge turquoise Swarovski cocktail ring alongside my Tomorrowland and Pandora rings. I kept my hair neat with a simple low pony as I always do whenever a big print is involved. Obviously, my Dior sunglasses couldn’t miss this sunny day.

D also opted for a turquoise and blue combo, but he skipped the yellow, well at least he tried, but he still had a hint of sunny coloured yellow on his Polo Ralph Lauren sneakers. His polo of choice for the day is also from Polo Ralph Lauren and his shorts are, quite obviously H&M. Maybe I should start making him shop at different stores for a change. He couldn’t be bothered with much accessorising so he only wore a Constantin Nautics bracelet and his aviator Ray-Bans. We both kept kept in line with our Tissot obsession and wore our T-race watches.

IMG_4120

This, is so far, my favourite pregnancy look and I am going to try and find some more similar clothes for this summer and maybe stretch it until early autumn. I will keep you photo updated on my quest for the perfect caftans!

Speedy Lemonade!

This is going to be one of those ‘barely-any-text’ posts, as today is mad, mad, mad! You’re going to find out soon enough why, if you haven’t already from our Instagram accounts and our Facebook page. Bottom line is that there’s no better way to cool down than to wear fresh colours like yellow and blue.

IMG_3734

The dress I’m wearing is yet another dress designed by the one and only Anca Maxim and, as with any of her designs, this one can take numerous shapes. It has an elastic band underneath that allows you to give it this intricate form. That can be adjusted in any way you (I) wish. I paired it with these lovely yellow Sophia Webster sandals that I got a few years ago and my gold Mihaela Glavan clutch bag. Accessory wise I opted for a Swarovski ring and bracelet to compliment my Tomorrowland and Pandora rings.

On D:

Shorts – H&M; T-shirt – Lacoste; Shoes – Ralph Lauren; Bling – Fossil; Watch – Tissot

D also kept it in the same colour palette, choosing to pair his yellow H&M shorts (yes, another pair!) with his dark blue Lacoste t-shirt. Yup, we discovered he has two identical Lacoste t-shirts in his closet. That never happened to me, so the balance for the most thoughtful spender leans into my direction. He wore his Polo Ralph Lauren sneaks that perfectly match both the shorts and the t-shirt and only chose his Fossil bracelet as an accessory. We both wore our Tissot PR100 watches just to keep things to a minimum.

All in all, we are preparing a bunch of posts from abroad with impressions, places to eat and fashion, so please excuse today’s short post!

New blue!

This Friday I decided on a bluer shade for my locks. As per usual, the preferred shades are from Joico with a bit of Instamatic blue from Wella. I’m never dying my hair without Olaplex, which does a wonderful job at protecting it during the whole chemical process! All the colour-works took place at my good friend’s salon, Maria’s Hair Studio. Hope you like the results!

Seaside vibes…

Boy, was today a weird day…but at least D and I matched in the fashion department. Since the last couple of days it has been really warm outside, like summer-warm, about 30 degrees C, my mind kept drifting off to the seaside…so, what better way to make it feel like I’m near the sea than dark blue stripes. The only difference between this outfit worn at the office and the same outfit worn last summer (no clothing items from this season in this post either) is the fact that today I’m wearing stilettos. I love this combo a lot, and I’ve done it a hundred times, sure, different items, I’m talking about the blue and white striped combo. As D leaves home after me (sometimes he even wakes up after I leave) I was very happy when he sent me a pic from the office and I realised that our outfits matched colour-wise. Of course that’s because great minds think alike!

Back to the outfits! The top and pants are both from ZARA (I seem to have a lot of stuff for the office from them) and I think that’s my favourite white top. The blazer is from H&M and the bling is from Swarovski. See that ring? I have it in pink as well (of course) because I couldn’t resist. Let me tell you about the bag, it’s Michael by Michael Kors and I got it for a very low price on The Outnet. This is an online store with designer clothes that are up to 80% off. As this bag, in my opinion has a great shape and is white, I think it’s going to be one of those pieces that I’ll wear forever (or until I see another white bag). The shoes are Christian Louboutin, the So Kate 120 in denim. I have to mention that spending an entire day at work on 12cm stilettos almost got me in tears…but they look great and I have to grow-up (literally) and learn how to walk in 12cm heels all day. That’s on my bucket list for 2016.

IMG_0335

IMG_0341

D decided, like me, on an almost entire ZARA outfit – told you that great minds think alike! Apparently we are loyal customers. The shoes are Condor Custom Made and the belt is Damat. To be honest, I love the fact that he is such a great dresser, he sometimes dresses better than me. I can always count on him to look appropriate in any situation and he never ever needs me to show him what to wear (most men do!).

IMG_0347

Anyway, when we met to take these photos I felt as though the whole horrible day I had at work happened ages ago. He has that effect on me every time!

I got the blues…

…no I don’t! I’m actually really happy that winter is finally over! Anyway, I did it! I rocked pale blue…at the office, no less! And even my mani matches my outfit today! I’m feeling quite proud of myself! So much so, that now, after wearing both colours of the year, I can finally say that I’ve done my fashion part for the year, right?

I did go a little bit overboard with the blue, but it felt nice to not wear any neutral color as I’ve worn neutral all winter long (black mostly). It amazes me that I have sooooo many different clothes as I never seem to actually go shopping for them (damn you, online shopping! You’ve taken the workout part out of shopping). All the stuff I’m wearing is from a few seasons ago, but who’s keeping track?

The pants are ZARA from last year’s spring collection, but they have something very (VERY!) similar this year as well. The blouse is from MANGO and yes, it’s identical to the pale pink one I’ve worn here. I do tend to buy stuff in multiple colours if I like it, and as it turns out, I do like this blouse mainly because it doesn’t need ironing. Any blouse that needs ironing goest to the trash bin as I hate that activity. The jacket is also from MANGO and I think I’ve had it for over 8 years (their premium collection), from before I met D-like I said, I’m not a fan of shopping for clothes. I have no idea where the scarf is from as I usually cut the tags off scarfs, but I do know that I’ve had it since I was 16 or 17, so it’s basically vintage if you look at my ID card.

The shoes are Sophia Webster, the Portia in turquoise. I love Sophia Webster shoes (I think I have a dozen) because they are very comfortable. Aside from having stupid skin, I also have stupid feet. While they look nice (my feet), every type of shoes (aside from workout shoes) hurts them-yes, even flip-flops! That’s mainly the reason I love Sophia Webster (and Christian Louboutin) shoes! I feel absolutely no discomfort while wearing these and they have an eleven (11!) cm heel. I can spend up to 14 hours in these ones and that’s the reason I also got them in pink (told you, multiple colours for various loved items).

The bag is FURLA and yes, apparently I have a thing for FURLA bags. Of course I have a similar jelly one in pink! The thing that caught my attention about this model is that you can fit a weekend-worth of stuff and on a busy day at work, that’s the amount of stuff I carry around. The downside about it is that it doesn’t have a shoulder strap but it does work the biceps really good (girls know exactly what I’m talking about). So it’s a win-win, I’m both trendy and staying fit while wearing this bag.

As you’ve noticed, I love cocktail rings, any time of the day. The ring featured in the photographs is from Swarovski and I got it two years ago. And no, I don’t have it in any other colour.

IMG_0219

The shades are Ray-Ban, the classic Wayfarers, and I got them from Schiphol airport in Amsterdam (gotta love duty free shopping) about 5 years ago. At first I thought it would be really complicated to wear them because of the pattern, but I always end up wearing them all spring and summer long. They just scream vacation and poolside cocktails!

The reason I had my hair in a low bun is because of the high shoulders of the jacket. I feel like R2D2 wearing this jacket with loose waves.

This concludes the fashion post for the second colour of the year. Again, I have no idea why 2016 is so special that it deserves two colours of the year, but I’m guessing that fashionistas out there know that answer. I just need to spend more time training to be one!
